This video ran with a series of articles I wrote on the history of a downtown building and the alleged incompetence that led to its demise.

The demolition of the building made for good footage.


 

After a piece of construction equipment fell from the bridge into the Chenango River, people from around Binghamton lined up on the riverbank to watch its extraction.

That curiosity translated into hundreds of Web hits in the first hour the video was posted.


 
                 

This video was part of an extensive online and print package commemorating the one-year anniversary of a flood that devastated the Southern Tier and caused millions of dollars of damage to this Binghamton hospital.


                 
In proposing this controversial project, engineers prepared several detailed renderings. Video seemed like the best medium for displaying the renderings and giving readers an idea of how the project would impact downtown Binghamton.  
                 

   
               
     

This video accompanied an article about Kenneth C. Lindsay, a 90-year-old WWII veteran, who was honored for his role in preserving priceless artifacts seized by the Nazis.

Lindsay's wry sense of humor and aptitude for storytelling translated well to this medium.

                   

 

This video commemorates National Zookeeper's Week. I shot and edited this piece in less than three hours.
